I’m a chef, a cyclist, and a sober guy who finds peace in the outdoors—snowstorms, rivers, mountains, anything wild and open. I grew up in central New Jersey near Princeton, usually outside playing soccer from sunup to sundown. In high school, I balanced kitchen work, soccer, and a whole lot of partying. After graduation, I headed to West Virginia on a soccer scholarship.
Alcohol was a problem for me from the very start. I drank harder than most and never wanted the night to end. Over the years I lost a lot to drinking, yet kept returning to the same destructive cycle, each time with bigger consequences.
Today, I’m sober—and genuinely excited about this alcohol-free chapter of my life. This blog is where I share that journey: my cycling adventures, my passion for cooking, the daily realities of being a chef, and the holistic practices that support my recovery. It isn’t a place to dwell on the past, but a space to document life as it is now and the tools that help me stay grounded on this new path.
